Todo lo que necesitas saber sobre el lunes 3 de febrero en los bancos

February kicks off with a long weekend that will be taken advantage of by elementary school students and various workers. However, there are those who wish to use this day to carry out transactions at the banks. Here's what you need to know about whether banks will be open on Monday, February 3rd.

Are the banks open on February 3rd? What about February 5th?

According to what was published in the Official Journal of the Federation (Diario Oficial de la Federación, DOF), there are certain days when banking institutions do not provide services due to official celebrations in the country. Therefore, there will be no banking services on Monday, February 3rd. However, ATMs and online transactions will still be operational. This regulation is established in the articles of the Law of the National Banking and Securities Commission, which states in Article 1 that “...credit information companies and financial technology institutions must close their doors, as well as suspend operations and services to the public in the United Mexican States, on the following days of the year 2025: I. January 1st. II. The first Monday of February in commemoration of February 5th. III. The third Monday of March in commemoration of March 21st. IV. April 17th and 18th. V. May 1st. VI. September 16th. VII. November 2nd and the third Monday of that month in commemoration of November 20th. VIII. December 12th and 25th. IX. Saturdays and Sundays." Thus, the day honoring the anniversary of the promulgation of the Mexican Constitution is moved to Monday, February 3rd.

It’s important to plan ahead for financial transactions, as holidays can impact the availability of banking services. Make sure to take care of your transactions in advance, especially if they require in-person attention at the branches, and take advantage of digital platforms to avoid any setbacks. Proper management of your finances is key to maintaining good control over your resources.
