BBVA Mexico Closes Inactive Accounts with Zero Balance

BBVA Mexico announced that on March 21, it carried out a mass closure of accounts that had no activity in the last three consecutive months prior to their cancellation and that have a zero balance.
A Year-Long Process
The financial group informed through its website that this action is being taken to comply with the Law for Transparency and Regulation of Financial Services. Therefore, it has similar operations scheduled for the rest of the year. The accounts that will be closed are part of various products offered by the institution, including: -El Libretón -BP Membership -Mi Despensa Link Card (formerly known as Winner Card) -BBVA Small Business Master -Premium Libretón -Libretón 2.0 -Personal Solution -Payment Card -Private Master -Contigo BBVA -Money Transfers -Express Account -Border Dollar Master -Dollar Libretón -Dollar Small Business Master -Dollar Heritage Master -Basic BBVA Card -Basic Libretón -BBVA Payroll Card. BBVA indicated that these cancellations will take place monthly for the remainder of the year, starting on April 18 and concluding on December 19.
