Fortaleciendo la Alianza Comercial entre México e India

Mexico and India are looking to increase trade and investments between them in strategic areas, according to the agreement established by Marcelo Ebrard, the Secretary of Economy, along with a high-level business delegation from India. More than 20 leaders and executives from Indian companies in sectors such as manufacturing, electric mobility, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, information technology, tourism, and biotechnology have arrived in the country to participate in this effort.

The Indian business leaders expressed their interest in learning about the available incentives following the change in government in Mexico. Secretary Ebrard highlighted some of President Claudia Sheinbaum’s plans, which include the creation of industrial corridors and infrastructure projects, as well as emphasizing Mexico’s demographic potential and the competitive advantages it represents. “Several of the participants have already made investments in the country and are looking to expand their operations. At the same time, there is an initiative to encourage Mexican companies to diversify their market reach,” indicated the Secretary of Economy. The Indian delegation was led by R Dinesh, President of the International Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry, and was supported by the India-Mexico Chamber of Commerce.

This agreement between Mexico and India represents a significant opportunity not only to increase investments but also to promote sustainable growth in both countries. Diversification in trade and collaboration among emerging nations can be a key driver for economic stability and technological development, benefiting the population in the long run. It is crucial for Mexican companies to seize this opportunity and be prepared to adapt to changes in the global market.
