Experts from the private sector have increased their inflation forecast for the end of 2025 to 3.83%, a slight rise from the previous 3.80%. At the same time, they have reduced their economic growth estimate to 1% from the earlier expected 1.12%, according to a survey conducted by the Bank of Mexico (Banxico) that was published on Tuesday.

The analysts surveyed by Banxico also anticipate that the interbank interest rate will reach 8.50% by the end of the year, based on the median of projections from 40 local and foreign analysis groups collected between January 23 and 29.

It's interesting to note how these revisions in expectations reflect the current uncertainty in the economy. Higher inflation and slower growth can impact consumption and investments, which could ultimately have a significant effect on the economic well-being of the population. It is crucial that fiscal and monetary policies are adjusted to respond to these new projections and foster an environment of economic stability.
