Marcelo Ebrard, the Secretary of Economy, has appointed several key interlocutors for his management over the next six years. Luis Rosendo Gutiérrez Romano will be in charge of the Undersecretariat of Foreign Trade, where he will be one of Ebrard's closest advisors in preparing for the review of the USMCA in 2026. Meanwhile, the Undersecretariat of Trade and Industry will be led by Vidal Lleranas Morales.

Luis Rosendo Gutiérrez Romano holds a degree in Economics and Political Science from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM), along with a Master’s in Economic Development from the London School of Economics (LSE) and both a Master’s and a PhD in Government from the University of Essex in the UK. He has worked in various areas of the federal government, including the Ministry of Commerce and Industrial Promotion, the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), and the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). Locally, he served as Treasury Secretary and Undersecretary of Planning for the Government of Mexico City. On the other hand, Vidal Lleranas also holds a degree in Economics from ITAM, a Master’s in Government from the University of Essex, and a PhD in Politics from the University of York, both in the UK. He has experience as both a local and federal deputy, notably serving on the Finance and Public Account Commission, and was the Undersecretary of Expenditures in the Mexico City government. Additionally, he served as the mayor of Azcapotzalco from 2018 to 2021.

Other important appointments made by Ebrard include Soledad Guadalupe López Acosta as head of the Administration and Finance Unit, César García Mondragón as head of the Legal Affairs Unit, and Ximena Escobedo Juárez as head of the Strategy and Institutional Organization Unit.
